All of the characters in the show are 13 years old; performers, ages 11 and up, that can believably play a character who is 13 years old are encouraged to audition. Those auditioning should: - Plan to attend only one night. - Prepare two contrasting songs (1 ballad, 1 up-tempo), preferably written after 1975. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. (Singers will not be permitted to sing *a cappella*). Songs from the show are acceptable. - Dress comfortably for movement. - Bring a list of conflicts between April 26 and June 28 (including school concerts, lessons, practices, games, etc.).
