*Dancers Partner with Parma Symphony Orchestra * *for Special Holiday Concert* (North Royalton and Parma Heights, Ohio) – Local dancers from Dance Arts by Regina in North Royalton are honored to be performing with the Parma Symphony Orchestra during their 50th Anniversary Holiday Concert at Valley Forge High School on Sunday December 2nd at 3:00 p.m., as the two organizations bring to life “The Nutcracker Suite.” This collaboration came about after North Royalton resident, Kristin Egan, began dropping into adult classes at Dance Arts and attending the studio’s many community performances. Ms. Egan is a member of the orchestra’s Board of Directors and has been playing flute with them for many years. “Playing Tchaikovsky’s Suite with the Parma Symphony Orchestra has always brought to mind fond memories of watching the ballet,” she says. When she approached Dance Arts’ director, Regina Pietraroia, about the idea, Ms. Pietraroia was ecstatic: “As a dancer, there is nothing more powerful than feeling the vibrations of the music you are dancing to, and the energy from the musicians. It’s an incredible opportunity for my young students to experience that.” The concert is also special in that it represents not only the 50th anniversary of the orchestra, but also the 40th anniversary of the leadership of their music director, Dr. Randolph P. Laycock. Dance Arts’ student performers will be led by professional dancers Mr. Ethan Michael Lee and Miss Regina Pietraroia. General admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Family passes of $20 are available for families of up to 2 adults and their children. All tickets are available at the door beginning at 2:30 PM. *Regina Pietraroia* *Artistic Director**, Dance Arts by Regina* 10670 Royalton Road N Royalton, OH 44133 440-230-9018 www.danceartsbyregina.com Facebook <http://www.facebook.com/danceartsbyregina> and Instagram <http://www.instagram.com/danceartsbyregina>
