Masrah Cleveland Al-Arabi مســرح كليفلاند العربــي, and Cleveland Public Theatre announce theatre workshops for beginners and experienced theatre artists who identify as coming from Arabic-speaking communities There will be five open workshops. Arabic or English fluency is not needed for workshops, but workshops will be offered in English with translation assistance from the group. Workshops are fun, easy, and focus on storytelling, self-expression, and teamwork. WORKSHOP DATES Saturday, October 19 at 2–5pm Sunday, October 20 at 3–6pm Wednesday, October 23 at 6–9pm Sunday, October 27 at 3–6pm Tuesday, October 29 at 6–9pm WHO: This program is for adults who are interested in theatre performance and curious about being a part of an Arabic-speaking theatre company. Workshops will be led by Cleveland Public Theatre's Raymond Bobgan and Faye Hargate, who have created over 50 original plays working with community and professional actors. WHAT: The purpose of Masrah Cleveland Al-Arabi مســرح كليفلاند العربــي is to share the rich diversity and perspectives of Cleveland's Arabic-speaking cultures and to fulfill CPT's core mission: to raise consciousness and nurture compassion through groundbreaking performance and life-changing education programs.
