Join us and take in the sounds of some of Northeast Ohio's best musicians, playing styles such as Latin jazz, honky tonk, Americana, Gypsy jazz, roots rock, and more! Concerts are free of charge and open to the public. Music will take place 6:30 to 8:30 in the evening, and local craft beer, refreshments, and gelato will be available for purchase (cash only). Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. The summer series culminates on Wednesday, September 30th from 6:30 to 8:30pm with Moustache Yourself<http://moustacheyourself.wix.com/moustacheyourself>, a gypsy jazz quartet hailing from Akron. Band members Jeremy Jones (guitar), Jeremey Poparad (guitar), Brad Wagner (clarinet and sax), and Matthew DeRubertis (acoustic bass) are on a mission to incorporate the history of gypsy jazz into an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the style's beginnings to present day, which includes originals written by members of Moustache Yourself. Gypsy jazz, also known as gypsy swing, hot club jazz, or by the French name, "jazz manouche" is a style of jazz music made famous by guitarist Django Reinhardt in the 1930s. It's infectious rhythm and harmonies are sure to capture your soul!
