THE WESTERN RESERVE PLAYHOUSE IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE AUDITIONS FOR… Rumors A Play by Neil Simon Full-Length Play, Comedy Ken and Chris Gorman arrive at a fancy dinner party celebrating the anniversary of their friends, Charley and Myra Brock. They discover Charley, the deputy mayor of New York, unconscious with a shotgun and an injury to his earlobe, and Myra nowhere to be found. As the rest of their friends begin to arrive, the couple’s attempts to cover up the incident leads to a web of rumors, twists and hilarity. Directed by Abbey Marshall Audition Dates: Wednesday, November 6th - 7pm-10pm Saturday, November 9th - 12pm-2pm Audition Location: The Western Reserve Playhouse 3326 Everett Road Bath, Ohio 44286 Callbacks: Sunday, November 10, 2024 - 11am-2pm Performances: February 2-February 22, 2025 (Fridays and Saturdays @ 8pm, Sunday 02/16/25 @ 2pm) Rehearsals: Will begin the week of December 15, 2024. Rehearsals will typically run Sunday-Thursday based on cast availability. There will be no rehearsals on Monday evenings. What to prepare: - 1-2 minute speech that you find might be thematically related. ERNIE CUSACK: A smug psychiatrist COOKIE CUSACK: Ernie’s wife. A dramatic cooking show host with a bad back. GLENN COOPER: An ambitious, polished man preparing for a run for the state senate.
