Cleveland Public Theatre announces FREE theatre training for young artists who are in 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Cleveland Act Now Academy at Cleveland Public Theatre Fall Session - 7 week long audition-based youth theatre program * Auditions take place in October * Classes take place Nov 5th to Dec 17th * Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00-5:45pm WHO * 6th, 7th and 8th graders WHAT * Taught by Cleveland Act Now (CAN) Academy Lead Teachers, Faye Hargate and Zyrece Montgomery, the fall session will explore acting fundamentals and ensemble theatre techniques with special attention on building improvisation skills and creating original performance material. WHERE * Cleveland Public Theatre, 6415 Detroit Ave, Cleve, OH 44102 COST * This program is offered at NO COST thanks to the support of the Cleveland Foundation and other generous supporters. ENROLL * All youth must participate fully in one audition and then be selected by Lead Teaching Artists for admittance into session. Enrollment is capped at 20 young artists per session.
