Cleveland Play House (CPH) is seeking an *Artistic Associate* to join the artistic team for the remainder of the 2020-21 season. This position will be a combination of artistic administration and logistics, dramaturgy, and season planning. Responsibilities include: - Participation in 2021-22 season planning process: reading & evaluating scripts, attending monthly all-staff script forums, attending all season planning council meetings - Season Planning Logistics: scheduling meetings, correspondence, research projects - Dramaturgy & artistic support for monthly virtual Theatre Thursdays & 2 special events in the spring - Planning & logistics for virtual new play development workshops and readings for the Roe Green Fund for New American Plays and annual New Ground Theatre Festival - Casting for virtual programming including workshops and monthly Theatre Thursdays - Co-curation and facilitation of monthly gatherings with CPH affiliated artists - Attendance at weekly artistic staff meetings and all editorial & events planning meetings The Artistic Associate will work with the following groups: - Roe Green Fund for New American Plays: in collaboration with the Literary Manager & Resident Dramaturg supporting current round of 5 commissions (40% penned by BIPOC artists) as well as identifying and commissioning the next round of artists, all of whom will be BIPOC writers - Season Planning: a team made up of 50% or more BIPOC artists (national & local) and CPH staff that focuses on season selection for 2021-22 and beyond - Artistic Staff & EDI Training Team: a team made up of CPH staff members from the artistic, education, and marketing departments that is working to identify and establish equitable artistic practices and clear accountability structures This position will primarily work in collaboration with Literary Manager & Resident Dramaturg, Artistic Producer, and the Artistic Virtual Programs Manager.
