Lake Erie College announces auditions for its spring production of FOOL FOR LOVE by Sam Shepard. Directed by Cameron Zona Auditions will consist of cold readings and light movement exercises from the script and will be held in the C.K. Rickel Theatre in Royce Hall at Lake Erie College on January 17th & 18th, 4:00-6:00 PM OR BY APPOINTMENT OR VIA ZOOM. Callbacks will be held by invitation only on January 19th at 4:00 PM. Rehearsals will begin on or around February 19th. Performances will be March 31st, April 1st & 2nd at 7:30, April 3rd at 2:00. ROLES AVAILABLE: EDDIE - 20s-40s. Both prideful and vulnerable. He has a drinking problem and believes deeply in emulating the myth of the American Cowboy. MAY - 20s-30s. Eddie’s lover. Determined and strong-willed. She matches Eddie’s energy with verbal assaults and power plays. THE OLD MAN - 50s-70s. Eddie and May’s father. He is an outside commentator on the events of the play with the perspective of an insider. MARTIN - 20s-40s. Simple and innocent. He acts as an audience to Eddie and May’s relationship as well as a representation of what May’s life might be like without Eddie.
