*Position: Theater Director* *Job Description* Candidate will have some theater experience, and preferably directing experience (although directing is not mandatory), and have enthusiasm for “theater as a cause.” Candidate should have a background in and passion for youth work. Candidate should be familiar with how to recognize intimate partner abuse, and prevention education, *OR* will attend trainings with the Know Abuse teens. This candidate will work closely with, and be supervised by, the Prevention Coordinator. The candidate must be open to the idea of peer leadership, and will work closely and collaborate with teen actors and peer leaders. This candidate will be responsible for: 1. Participating in the May 3rd, 2015 Kick-Off retreat. 1. Preparing and rehearsing the cast during summer training 4 evenings a week for 4 weeks in June/July, and two weeks plus season kick-off in August. 1. Rehearsing the cast for 2-4 hours (to be determined by Director) the Sunday before a performance. This is usually once-twice a month. 1. Attend and help Coordinator with once-monthly all-group meetings. This might include, but is not limited to: 1. Leading team-building exercises 2. Administrative work such as collecting signatures 3.
