“Brahms and Bernstein” Celebrated by BBH Community Chorus May 4th concert includes classical love songs and Broadway favorites Brecksville-Broadview Heights — A collection of short, vibrant works by Johannes Brahms and songs composed by Leonard Bernstein for Broadway, highlight the May 4, 2025, Spring Concert of the Brecksville- Broadview Heights Community Chorus. Tickets for the 4 p.m. concert are available at the door ($10 for adults, $5 for seniors and students). The location is handicap-accessible and has free parking. “Our Spring Concert is designed to highlight our talented accompanist, Gail Wirick, who has served the chorus for over 25 years,” said Nancy Stokes, music director and conductor. “The first half of the concert will feature Ms. Wirick sharing the Steinway grand keyboard with our former director, Isaac Becker-Howell, accompanying the chorus in Brahms’s New Love Song Waltzes.” The second half of the program puts the spotlight on the legendary Leonard Bernstein. The program includes songs from Wonderful Town, Candide, and West Side Story. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Chorus, now in its 34th year, includes singers from throughout Northeast Ohio. It is led by Stokes and Assistant Director Brian Suntken.
