Box 235, 49 Park St. Madison, OH 44057 DATE: February 26, 2019 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Auditions for Rabbit Run Theater's 2019 Youth Production, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr" Audition appointments are now being taken for the 2019 Youth Production at Rabbit Run Theater in Madison, Ohio. The Youth Production for the summer is "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr.", which runs July 11, 12, and 13. With music and lyrics by Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr." tells the story of an eccentric inventor, Caractacus Potts. Potts sets about restoring an old race car from a scrap heap with the help of his children, Jeremy and Jemima. They soon discover the car has magical properties, including the ability to float and take flight. Trouble occurs when the evil Baron Bomburst desires the magic car for himself. The production is directed and musically directed by Victoria Larrabee with choreography by Stephen Sandham. Auditions are Saturday, Mar. 16, from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, Mar. 17, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park St., Madison. There are multiple roles available for youth, male and female, ages 7 to 17. Actors auditioning should prepare to sing from memory 16 measures of a Broadway-style song or a song from "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr." Please bring sheet music for the accompanist in a binder. No pre-recorded accompaniment or CD tracks. No monologue need be prepared as actors will read sides from the script. Actors should dress for movement. Auditions are by appointment only.
