Amy Campbell is a NYC based dancer, choreographer, performer, teacher, director and producer. A native Ohioan, she received a BFA in dance and choreography from the Ohio State University, taught and choreographed competitive studio dance, and performed with multiple modern and dance theatre companies. Amy has also served as a advocate for our field by serving on Dance/NYC's Junior Committee for two years. Her work has been shown at Triskelion Arts, Dixon Place, University Settlement, and performance spaces, galleries, and nightlife happenings throughout the city. She has performed with many musicians, nightlife artists, and contemporary choreographers in her 10 years in the Big Apple, most notably Backspace Performance Ensemble, aemp:dance/Amiti Perry+Dancers, Kelly Donovan & Dancers, Yula and the eXtended family, and Fashion Week Noise. She was in house choreographer for the Mary Jo Camel Show, produced monthly happening, Hot Mess, and has also taught throughout the city, most notably at Gibney Dance. Her latest endeavors include making work under the moniker, Crooked Mouth, and contributing as a performing artist with both Inclined Dance Project and Megan Bascom and Dancers. When not dancing she can be found tending bar, hiding in Queens, and trying to keep up with all the things. Open Auditions - Ages 18+, All styles of dance!
