This month, *Latitudes Poetry Night at Compass Coffee will be Sept 20th*, and we are helping to celebrate Akron Peace Month with a very special reading featuring Akron poet *John Dayo-Aliya*! John Dayo-Aliya is a poet/playwright/teacher/director/musician from Akron,Oh. He has performed poetry nationally and is the co-founder/artistic director of Ma’Sue Productions. He studied Pan African Studies and Theater at Kent State University. After our feature, we will host a very special Peace Month open mic! *Please bring a poem for open mic that reflects on the themes of nonviolence, peace, or positive change.
