This film recounts Jackie’s life from childhood days to his football college career , his military service, his minor league career and through his 1949 season with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The film stars Jackie Robinson as himself, Ruby Dee as Rachel Robinson and Minor Watson as Branch Rickey and a cast of other famous faces from the films of the time.
