Associate Professor of Theater Dr. Jerry Jaffe will be offering a one-day acting workshop on Shakespeare. The emphasis will be on how to speak these poetic and "old-fashioned" lines in a modern and natural way. This will include a brief review of iambic pentameter and an introduction to applying modern psychology to building a Shakespearian character. This workshop is open to all members of the community. All levels of experience welcome, beginner to advanced, and all ages from high school on may participate. We will work on sonnets, soliloquies, and short scenes.
