Auditions for “Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill: The Musical” Monday, July 6 from 6:30PM - 9:30PM Tuesday, July 7 from 6:30PM - 9:30PM The Broadview Heights Spotlights will hold auditions for "Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill." Based on Alanis Morissette’s world-changing music, this Tony and Grammy Award-winning new musical about a perfectly imperfect American family is brimming with joy, strength, love, courage and life. Auditions will be held by appointment on Monday, July 6 from 6:30PM - 9:30PM and Tuesday, July 7 from 6:30PM to 9:30PM. Please arrive 15-minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete an audition form. The show requires a highly-active ensemble of both adults and teenagers with many featured roles. The role of Mary Jane has been precast. No Equity contracts are available for this show. A dance call and callbacks will occur on the afternoon of July 11. Rehearsals will begin the week of July 26. The show runs September 18 - October 3. The show will be directed by Tim Anderson, music directed by Ryan Bergeron, and choreographed by Karen Colbianchi. Those auditioning should: - Plan to attend only one day of auditions. - Be familiar with the show and its music, language, and themes (sexual assault and drug use) - Prepare two one-minute, contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad). At least one of these should be a folk/rock song in the style of the show. Songs by Alanis Morisette and/or from the musical are acceptable. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Singers will not be permitted to sing a cappella. - Bring a list of conflicts between July 26 and October 3 (Weeknights and Weekend afternoons).
