JOB OPENINGS: House Manager and Box Office Manager [CLEVELAND MUSICAL THEATRE]
HOUSE MANAGER Cleveland Musical Theatre is currently seeking a House Manager for its upcoming production of the musical "Jane Eyre." This position will oversee the front of house (box office and ushers) to ensure an exceptional patron experience. Anticipated start date would be August 28 (training). Opening Night is August 31. Production closes September 9. All training and performances held at Cuyahoga Community College - Eastern Campus. Candidate must be available for all performances. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Coordinate the volunteer usher staff and ensure they know CMT's front-of-house protocols; 2) Work with the box office manager to ensure daily ticketing is coordinated; 3) Assist patrons with accessibility issues, ticketing problems, or any other issues QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidate has an exceptionally even temper and the ability to handle any type of customer service situation Strong theater background and the clear ability to communicate with a team A fast thinker who can anticipate problems and solve them before they happen This is a paid position that will need to have availability from August 28-September 9 (training and performances only). Rate is $250/week. (Please note: candidates do NOT need to have weekday daytime availability. This position will work in tandem with the House Manager to ensure a smooth front of house operation. Anticipated start date would be August 28 (training). Opening Night is August 31. Production closes September 9. All training and performances held at Cuyahoga Community College - Eastern Campus. Candidate must be available for all performances. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Ensure that will-call tickets are prepped and ready for pick-up; 2) Oversee and facilitate walk-up ticket sales; 3) Generate reports from Tix.com - CMT's box office ticketing software; 4) Assist in the resolution of any ticketing issues QUALIFICATIONS: Ideally seeking an individual who has previous box office experience Must be computer proficient and able to learn new ticketing software easily An even demeanor and the ability to provide exceptional customer service even in high-stress situations.
