*Really Rosie* A Musical Book & Lyrics by Maurice Sendak Music by Carole King Directed by Joanna May Hunkins Music Direction by Ben Malkevitch Children’s author Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are) uses characters from his 1962 Nutshell Libraries to create a day in the life of young Rosie and her friends as their imaginations run wild on a hot summer day in front of a Brooklyn stoop. Pop icon Carole King (“Natural Woman”, “Beautiful”) composed the original rock score for the 1975 TV special and 1980 Off Broadway hit that has become beloved by generations.
