CLEVELAND PLAY HOUSE (CPH) SEEKING SMALL/MEDIUM BREED DOG FOR SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE
Cleveland Play House (CPH) is casting a small/medium Shakespearean-breed dog, for its 2017 production of Shakespeare in Love, directed by Laura Kepley. Seeking well-trained dog in a breed corresponding to that of the Shakespearean era with the following preferred skills sets: * Able to perform in hyper-stimulating environment (large cast, stage lights, audience reactions, etc.) * Able to perform “special” trick via non-verbal command (trick is not specific and can be something the dog is already trained to perform) * Able to enter/exit stage off-leash Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, August 15th, and will be held Tuesday-Sunday. First day of full rehearsal with the dog is still to be determined (likely to occur during the week of August 28th). Performances run from September 9th through October 1st with a possible extension until October 8th. This is a paid position within the cast.
