The Masseur premiered in San Diego playing to sold-out extended houses, and=20
received rave reviews.  Then went on to play Los Angeles where it was=20
nominated by the LA Weekly as =E2=80=9Cbest new play 1999=E2=80=9D! =E2=80=
=9CThe Masseur=E2=80=9D=20
takes two men, strips them of both body and soul and shows us in a funny,=20
dramatic way what it takes to have a healthy relationship. Towers, a=20
businessman, tense, uptight and with a failing marriage who is sexually=20
confused and a masseur, Thomas, who is honest, openly gay and an=20
individualist, are brought together one afternoon for a simple massage. =20
Defenses are lowered boundaries are crossed, a relationship develops and soo=
n=20
trust is violated, emotions walked on and just as quickly the friendship is=20
destroyed. A simple but yet powerful story that deals with the necessary=20
ingredients of honest and trust.

The Cleveland production of The Masseur will feature an all West Coast cast=20
and director San Diegan, Bill Poore, and introducing Los Angeles actors Greg=
=20
Tankersley as Towers, and Gregory Lawson as Thomas.

Bill Poore has an impressive theater background having worked on numerous=20
Broadway productions in New York, working for four years on the play=20
