Dear Friends,

I am very pleased to announce the release of our new CD "Under the Map of the World Where I Sleep", which features recordings made in Verviers, Belgium, with Cuyahoga County poet laureate, Daniel Thompson, during Drumplay's first European tour in May 2002. We have received two positive reviews so far - one in last week's Cleveland Scene, November 13th issue, in the CD review section, and the other in the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Sunday Magazine of November 17th, page 6.

As some of you may know, Daniel Thompson was diagnosed with leukemia post- European tour; but he continues to perform with us as we try to keep the work going. Because it's the Thanksgiving Season, we wish to invite you all to a free show, this Sunday, November 24 at 7:30 p.m., for our CD Release party in celebration of "Under the Map of the World Where I Sleep", Drumplay's fifth CD. The title is a line taken from Daniel's poem "Stone".

The event will be held at Cabaret Dada, located on West Sixth Street and Lakeside Avenue, in the Historic Warehouse District, downtown Cleveland. We are very grateful that Daniel is still with us; and it would be great if you
and your friends could come out and show your support and love for one of this area's finest poets. Daniel is planning on moving to Phoenix to escape the Cleveland winters. So this will be one of the last opportunities to see him in performance this year. Come on out to Cabaret Dada to wish him well and say goodbye!

If anyone has any questions, you may e-mail me or call me at 216-429-1152.
The new CD is available at Mac's Backs on Coventry in Cleveland Heights, and
at Lion and Blue on Detroit Road in Lakewood. Peace.
