Background Information:

101’s forty exhibition portraits, by Washington photographer Chad Evans
Wyatt, are accompanied by a comprehensive catalogue that has been named
“Best Thematic Photo Book of 2000” at the Prague Book Fair. 101 is the only
such study that examines a culture newly-emerged from 40 years of
suppression in the Czech Republic, and features familiar, famous people as
well as relatively unknown, but important figures of the interior culture

101 previewed both in Prague and Washington, DC in November 1999, on the
tenth anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Since then, it has been seen in
Prague and Washington, DC in major exhibitions, with parallel exhibitions in
galleries in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Hofstra University, Warsaw and Budapest.
The European exhibition is scheduled to travel to Kiev, Stockholm, Paris and
the Far East and Latin America, with the U.S. exhibit going to Phoenix and
Miami after its Cleveland preview.

Wyatt has been working in the Washington, DC area since 1976. His work is
included in the collections of the music divisions of the Smithsonian
Institution, the Library of Congress and the National Gallery of Art in
Washington. He has photographed five US presidents, innumerable Senators
and many public figures.
