The Commedia Troupe from Miller South School for the Visual & Performing 
Arts will peremiere its universal language version of "Romeo & Juliet" 
at the Hessler Street Faire in Cleveland on Saturday, May 17th from 
12:30 to 1:30 pm. . The traditional Italian Renaissance characters of 
Arlecchino, Columbina, Lelio, Isabella Dottore, Pantalona, Capitano and 
the Zanni will use gesture, gibberish, mime and music to tell the tragic 
tale of two households in old Verona.

The troupe will perform in The Grove Theater in "Harmony Park."  The 
Hessler Street Fair is on Hessler Road & Court between Ford and 
Bellflower Roads, one block north of Euclid & Mayfield in University 
Circle, Cleveland Ohio.

The Commedia Troupe performs a repertoire of Shakespeare, Multicultural 
Folktales, Dickens, Tolkien, and Tolstoy, along with traditional and 
original scenarios.  The troupe has performed with the Akron Symphony 
Orchestra at E J Thomas Hall in Akron, as part of Cleveland Public 
Theatre's Vaudeville 2002, at the International Thespian Festival in 
Lincoln, NE, at Ohio State University's Renaissance Fair, for 
Shakespeare in the Spring at the University of Akron, for the American 
Branch of the Richard III Society's Annual Meeting in Detroit, MI.as 
well as providing entertainment for many local organizations and events.
