TIRED OF SHOWS WITH NO GOOD ROLES FOR WOMEN?
WE HAVE A SHOW FOR YOU!
QUILTERS, directed by Leanne Snively,
is coming to Chagrin Valley Little Theatre Oct. 3 - Nov. 1

QUILTERS is a wonderful mixture of music and storytelling about life
on the American prairie.
We will need SEVEN women, ages 20-60 to play Sarah and her six daughters. 
There are no minor roles in this show; every woman in the cast is a 
principal; everyone sings, everyone has her moment to shine.

Auditions will be in early August,  with rehearsals to begin in mid- to 
late August.

Watch this list for exact audition dates as soon as they become available!

The summer sessions of the Performance Writing programs at Dobama Theatre 
and at Geauga Lyric Theater are drawing to a close. The writers have 
created a wonderful assortment of challenging roles to be performed...from 
zany orphans and tormented authors to young lovers and rebellious teens. 
There's even a suicidal fish -- but don't worry, he doesn't have any lines. 
 Please consider joining us for one or more of these readings, as an actor, 
or as an audience member who can give these writers your intelligent 
critiquing and support. All scenes are from films or plays in progress. 
Some mature themes and language are included.

Roles are available for all genders and ages -- from 11-70!  Special needs 
include Irish,  European Jewish, Middle-Eastern, and American-Jewish 
accents.  We also have some marvelous singing opportunities for a baritone, 
a bass, a tenor, and a mezzo soprano, and are in need of an accompanist 
with a full keyboard.

Geauga readings will be held at the Geauga Lyric Theater on Chardon Square, 
Tuesday, July 29th. Call is at 6 pm; audience arrives at 7 pm. Readings 
will be followed by refreshments and informal discussion. Evening ends by 
10 pm. (Irish and Jewish accents are needed for this reading)

Dobama readings will be held at the Dobama Theatre on Coventry, Monday, 
August 4th. Call at 6 pm; audience arrives at 7 pm. Readings will be 
followed by refreshments and informal discussion. Evening ends by 8:30 pm. 
(Singers, accompanist, and Middle-East accents are needed for this 
reading.)

Actors interested in reading should call or e-mail with your availability 
and age, accent, and style preferences as soon as possible. All roles will 
be pre-assigned.
