CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH - Cain Park=B9s 2003 Cabaret Series ends with Modern
Acoustic Music Collective organizing an evening with Doug Wood, Paul Sprawl=
,
Martha=B9s Trouble, and Ryann Anderson on Tuesday, August 12, at 7:30 pm in
the Alma Theater.  Tickets are $14 in advance, $16 day-of-show.  The Modern
Acoustic Music Collective cabaret is the ninth and final in the 2003 Cabare=
t
Series which presents show tunes, jazz ensembles, acoustic collectives, and
more in the intimate, 262-seat Alma Theater.

Doug Wood began Modern Acoustic Music Collective in 1999 as a means to give
acoustic musicians the ability to perform without losing money, by appearin=
g
in groups of two or three at clubs and coffeehouses.  The artists perform i=
n
a round-table style where each performs a song or two while the others stay
on stage, sometimes backing each other up with acoustic guitar or vocal
harmonies. =20

Joining Wood on stage will be Paul Sprawl of California, whose style he
describes as =B3blues/folk/Americana,=B2 and are written from his experience as
a =B3vagabond witness.=B2  Sprawl won Atlanta=B9s 2002 Acoustic Showdown at
Eddie=B9s Attic.  The third act to share the stage will be Martha=B9s Trouble, =
a
husband and wife duo from Toronto who are known for their folk music
inspired by their experiences while touring North America.  Jen Slocumb of
Martha=B9s Trouble was nominated =B3Best New Female Artist of the Year=B2 by FM
Odyssey.  And lastly, Ryann Anderson will celebrate the release of his new
CD =B3Patchwork.=B2

Cleveland Heights residents presenting a Recreation ID and people presentin=
g
a Military ID receive a $3 discount.  Children=B9s tickets are 50% off when
attending with a parent if all attending family members hold Cleveland
Heights Recreation IDs.  A $2 discount is available at the Ticket Office
when presenting a senior citizen ID, a student ID, or a Friends of Cain Par=
k
membership card.
