FESTIVAL
A Decade Under the Influence: 10 Year Anniversary OIFF November 1-9,=20

Cleveland, Ohio-In keeping with Independent Pictures' decade-long=20
history of highlighting Ohio artists, short and feature films=20
written, directed, produced, photographed, designed, and acted by=20
Ohioians will be presented all day Thursday, November 6, 9a-9p=20
($10/program), at the 10 Year Anniversary OIFF at Cleveland Public=20
Theatre, 6415 Detroit Road.  Some highlights of Ohio Day are:

=B7	9:00 am: Shorts Program including the World Premiere of=20
SKETCHCETERA by Columbus filmmaker Peter John Ross. From humor to=20
drama to science fiction, many comedic parts of SKETCHCETERA feature=20
the cast of Second City Cleveland, and were mostly improvised.

=B7	11:00 am: Shorts Program including the World Premiere of=20
INSTANT MUSCLES by Athens filmmaker Mark Shogren. A cinematic=20
approach to the age-old problem of the bully and a young boy's=20
imaginative solution to the problem. But, will it work?

=B7	 1:00 pm: the World Premiere of the feature film LOVE IN A=20
STRAIGHTJACKET by Cleveland filmmaker Marcus A. Cook. A group of=20
mental patients have their lives abruptly changed by an addition to=20
their group named Julia, a violent, borderline schizophrenic. Julia=20
is having trouble adjusting until she meets Shawn, a claustrophobic=20
who joins the group for weekend treatments. Will love cure them or=20
keep them locked up forever?

=B7	3:00 pm: the World Premiere of the feature film LOOK FOR THE=20
WOMAN by Cleveland filmmaker Jeff Gosnell. Reality isn't always
what it seems for Jeff, an aspiring screenwriter who has a history of=20
dating the wrong women. After his latest girlfriend breaks up with=20
him, Jeff finds himself the accidental hero when he comes to the=20
rescue of femme fatale, Veronica. Film noir meets murder mystery=20
theatre in this feature length dark comedy.

=B7	5:00 pm: the World Premiere of the feature film HIP HOP=20
RESURRECTION: FROM NY TO NZ by Michael Deet, Cleveland filmmaker now=20
based in Los Angeles. Documents the talent-rich music community of=20
South Pacific Islanders living in the country of New Zealand.

=B7	7:00 pm: Shorts Program including LUCKY'S by Dayton
filmmaker Alvoro Leite. A soldier returns to his old haunts and falls=20
for the alluring wife of a Korean grocer. Full of hope, he discovers=20
some things for which the service never prepared him.

=B7	9:00 pm: the Ohio Premiere of the feature film HUNGRY HEARTS=20
by Columbus filmmakers Rolf Schrader & Gaynelle W. Sloman. Miles=20
LaRue is a gourmet chef for the rich and famous, who is as well known=20
as his clientele. He has been hired to cater a feast for a small=20
group of beautiful women, a task that seems routine until he realizes=20
that this is a suicide party. Now faced with a moral dilemma and held=20
by a dark secret, Miles must fill their hearts as well as their=20
stomachs. Welcome to the ultimate feast!
