proscenium theatres--a 250-seat and a 1700-seat space--for three major=20
productions (play, musical, opera) and two minor (dance, youth theatre). Thi=
s position=20
also includes Master Electrician responsibilities and will be assisted by=20
interns during hang, focus, and cuing, therefore instruction of interns and=20=
strong=20

=20
there are multiple uses for each space, a rep or house hang will be helpful.=
=20
The designer will be responsible for drafting light plots and all applicable=
=20
paper work. The plots and paper work will need to be executed on site so pro=
per=20
materials and tools are necessary. Knowledge of rigging and safety is a must=

other designers and tech staff. The best candidate will possess strong=20
organizational skills and work well with professionals as well as interns an=

The Technical Director is responsible for construction, load-in, and tech of=

=20
construction skills, an ability to work with a variety of materials, as well=
 as=20
a working knowledge of safety standards and rigging. The best candidate will=
=20
be a willing collaborator as well as an efficient problem solver. There is a=
=20
modestly equipped scene shop on the premises. This position is very hands on=
,=20
however, it will also require the supervision of three carpenters. Some of t=

instruction involved. This person must have good communication skills and be=
 highly=20
organized. The TD is responsible for all crew scheduling--work calls, load-i=
n=20

th=20
the Director of Theatre Arts and the Lighting Designer), running crew,=20
strike--as well as budgeting for sets, paints, and props, and maintaining to=
ols and=20

.=20
Office space and housing are provided. This position reports to the Director=
 of=20
Theatre Arts.

The Stage Manager is responsible for stage management of three productions=20
(play, musical, opera) in two theatre spaces--a 250-seat and a 1,700-seat pr=
osce
nium house. Ability to read music is essential. Candidate must be highly=20
organized with proven communication and leadership skills and an ability to=20=
keep=20
the calm in stressful situations. This person must be able to work=20
collaboratively with a professional staff as well as interns and local volun=
teers. Other=20
responsibilities include assisting at auditions, taking notes during product=
ion=20

manner, creating rehearsal schedules (in conjunction with stage directors) a=

s=20
before rehearsals start for the season. Housing is provided.

The Prop Master will be responsible for executing props and set d=E9cor for=20
three productions (play, musical, opera). This person needs to have good=20
carpentry skills, and experience with furniture and soft goods (upholstery a=
nd fabric)=20
is helpful. There is a modestly equipped shop on the premises. Props may be=20
pulled from a large stock, borrowed, built, or purchased (within budget=20
limitations) based on set design specifications. The best candidate will be=20=
a=20
self-starter and willing collaborator with great organizational and communic=
ation=20
skills. The prop master must have the ability to work with professionals as=20=
well=20
as interns and area volunteers. The position reports to the Set Designer and=
=20
Technical Director, and is responsible for the props budget. Housing is=20
provided.

The Theatre Arts Intern position is an excellent opportunity for someone=20
interested in arts management. This intern will work closely with the Direct=
or of=20
Theatre Arts on all publicity, media relations, public relations, and=20
marketing (press releases, advertising, photo calls, poster design, printing=
) for a=20
summer music festival that includes theatre, opera, dance, and music. The be=
st=20

registration for classes. The intern must have basic office skills and excel=
lent=20

t, and=20
basic page-layout (such as Microsoft Publisher) programs. This position allo=
ws=20
you to add professional credits to your resume while gaining practical=20
experience. Housing is provided.

The Technical Intern is a great position for someone looking to improve=20
carpentry, electrics, and/or paint skills. Three interns will work directly=20=
with a=20
professional Technical Director and/or Lighting Designer to execute set and=20
lighting designs for three major productions (play, musical, opera) and prov=
ide=20
tech support for two minor (dance concert, youth theatre). Prior working=20
knowledge of power tools, electrics, as well as paint and prop skills are he=
lpful.=20
Interns may also be asked to work on running crews. This position allows yo=
u=20

g=20
