Aspiring dancers and theatre-lovers in Northeast Ohio can catch the
razzle-dazzle of Broadway in Akron at 42ND STREET, coming to The
University of Akron's E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall on Jan. 20-25.=20

A Broadway ledgend that defined musical comedy with its "star-is-born"
scenario, 42ND STREET is back -- in a toe-tapping, back-flipping
production that earned the 2001 Tony Award for Best Musical Revival, and
the 2001 Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award in the same
category. Now on tour, 42ND STREET comes to UA's E.J. Thomas Hall for a
six-day, eight-performance run from January 20 through January 25.

Featuring such Broadway favorites as: "We're in the Money," "You're
Getting to Be a Habit With Me," "Lullaby of Broadway," "I Only Have Eyes
For You," and the spectacular title number danced down a flight of
steps--42ND STREET chronicles Peggy Sawyer's rise from chorine to
Broadway star.=20
