CALL FOR FILMS AND VIDEOS
2004 Ohio Independent Film Festival (OIFF)
For Immediate Release: January 22, 2004
Contact: Annetta Marion or Bernadette Gillota, Co-Founding Artistic=20
Directors of Independent Pictures, presenter of the OIFF, (216) 651-
7315
"What would filmmaking be without quality film festivals? The OIFF=20
ranks with the best," say Patrick Shen and Greg Bennick, festival=20
veterans with their film FLIGHT FROM DEATH: THE QUEST FOR=20
IMMORTALITY. The Ohio Independent Film Festival is one of the=20
leading independent film events in Ohio. The 2004 OIFF, this=20
November in Cleveland, Ohio, will mark our 18th festival. Like many=20
festivals, the OIFF is a judged and internationally recognized line-
up of first-class independent films from around the world.=20
But here's what is unique about the OIFF: it only accepts film and=20
video submissions *without* theatrical distribution and the festival=20
is programmed 100% from those submissions. Exclaims Gina Carducci of=20
STONE WELCOME MAT, "(The) OIFF has a way of respecting the=20
independent filmmaker like no other festival=85 Maybe other film=20
festivals will take a hint!" Additionally, every film and video=20
entrant benefits from personal feedback from festival programmers on=20
his or her film. "The Ohio Independent Film Festival is that
rare festival that understands filmmakers, probably because it is run=20
by and for filmmakers," adds Sheldon Gleisser of FILTERED IMAGES
So submit your films and videos! Deadlines to submit films and=20
videos for the 2004 OIFF are: June 1; July 1 (late). Please call=20
(216) 651-7315, email OhioIndieFilmFest at juno.com, or visit=20
www.ohiofilms.com for film and video entry information.
