CALL FOR SCREENPLAYS for the 2004 Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards
-sponsored by www.InkTip.com

For Immediate Release: February 12, 2004

Contact: Annetta Marion or Bernadette Gillota, Co-Founding Artistic=20
Directors of Independent Pictures, presenter of the OIFF, (216) 651-
7315

The Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards introduce aspiring writers to=20
the professionals who can propel real writing careers. "=85my
script received more industry exposure than I got from other contests=20
I've won or placed in," states Rich Figel, winner of the 2002 Best=20
Voice of Color Screenplay Award for his script INUGAMI. Over the=20
years, winning screenplays have been optioned, other winners have=20
been produced into full-length feature films; additionally, some=20
winning writers are now well on their way to professional writing=20
careers. "I've gotten such personal, individualized attention
from Independent Pictures, I'm certain that same attitude will be=20
reflected in the attention I get from potential producers as a result=20
of my win," says Lily Mariye, winner of the 2003 Best of Voice of=20
Color Screenplay Award for her script THE SHANGRI-LA CAFE. The 2004=20
Ohio Independent Screenplay Awards marks Independent Pictures'
8th annual screenplay competition and boasts a seasoned judging=20
process.

Personal coverage and feedback from programmers and readers on your=20
screenplay will be available to every screenplay entrant. Exclaims=20
writer Ken Johnson of the coverage and feedback, "Loved it. May
be more valuable than the screenplay competition itself." Writers
Joe Amato & Kass Fleisher add, "This is a tough industry to break
into and we found your insights especially useful." Finalists and
winners are awarded submission to Hollywood and NYC producers, talent=20
management companies and production companies-the introduction to a=20
real writing career. On top of all that, winners receive even more-
including cash and representation/promotion by www.InkTip.com.=20=20
Declares Spiro Skentzos, winner of the 2003 Best Screenplay Award for=20
his script THREE MILE FAMILY, "It was great to finally find a=20
screenplay competition that rewards smaller, character-orientated=20
films over mainstream Hollywood ideas."=20=20

Deadlines to submit screenplays for the 2004 screenplay competition=20
are: June 1; July 1 (late). Please call (216) 651-7315, email=20
OhioIndieFilmFest at juno.com, or visit www.ohiofilms.com for film and=20
