FOSSE, which won the 1999 Tony Award(r) for best musical, highlights the
work of legendary dancer, choreographer and director Bob Fosse.
Long-time Fosse stars Gwen Verdon and Ann Reinking came together to
recreate Bob Fosse's groundbreaking work, and an extraordinarily
talented cast brings Broadway's all-time best choreography to life in
FOSSE. And during March 19-21, The University of Akron's E.J. Thomas
Performing Arts Hall will spotlight Fosse's style that revolutionized
musical theatre with such Broadway hits as Sweet Charity, Chicago,
Dancin', and the films Cabaret and All That Jazz.=20

In 1973, Bob Fosse became the first director in history to win the
Oscar, Tony and Emmy award in a single year for the film version of
Cabaret, the Broadway musical Pippin and the television special "Liza
with a Z."  His work on Broadway, for which he won nine Tony Awards(r),
includes The Pajama Game, Redhead, Little Me, Sweet Charity, Chicago,
Dancin', Damn Yankees, Big Deal, New Girl In Town and How To Succeed In
Business Without Really Trying. His film work includes the direction of
Sweet Charity, Lenny, All That Jazz and Star 80, and the choreography
for My Sister Eileen, The Little Prince, The Pajama Game and Damn
Yankees.

FOSSE includes rarely seen dance and musical numbers from the
choreographer's earliest works, and several numbers from films and
television shows never before seen on stage. The production also
