Tour a retired 618-foot long Great Lakes freighter named for Clevelands
former First Citizen. From its cavernous Cargo Hold exhibit hall, spit and
polish Pilot House providing breathtaking views of downtown Cleveland and
North Coast Harbor, and powerful four-story Engine Room, there is something
for everyone onboard, The Ship That Built Cleveland. Due to its historic
nature, the SS Mather Museum has limited accessibility and requires
traversing steep stairs. This season features beautiful and historic models
of Great Lakes vessels on loan from the Western Reserve Historical Society
in the handicap accessible exhibit hall.
