    CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH-The Saline Fiddlers string ensemble provides grea=
t
family entertainment.  This acclaimed high school ensemble will perform at
Cain Park=B9s Evans Amphitheater on August 14, 2004 at 7:30 p.m.
   The Saline Fiddlers were founded by Bob Phillips when the ensemble began
as an extracurricular music program at Saline High School in Saline,
Michigan.  The ensemble was formed with two primary goals: to learn
traditional American fiddle music, and to perform for small audiences, thus
perpetuating a rich, musical heritage.  Upon Phillips=B9 retirement in July,
2002, Ben Culver, an alumni of the Fiddlers, assumed the title of Artistic
Director.  Now in its tenth season, the Fiddlers have set the standard for
extracurricular music programs in the United States.
   The Fiddlers are a committed group of students who earn their positions
through competitive auditions based on musical ability and personal
integrity. Members of the ensemble balance academics, sports, school
organizations, jobs and social lives along with their commitment to music.
Throughout its history, the ensemble has performed more than 600 times in 1=
1
states.  They have been honored to perform at both the White House and on
The Kennedy Center=B9s Millennium Stage.  Since 1996, the Saline Fiddlers hav=
e
released five recordings.
   Tickets for this event are $8 for front/center sides, $6 for back sides,
and $4 for lawn.  Day-of-show tickets are $11 for center/front sides, $9 fo=
r
back sides and, $7 for lawn.  No additional discounts are available.
   The Coventry Magic Bus!, with support from Coventry Village Special
Improvement District, KeyBank and Severance Town Center, will provide free
rides to and from Cain Park, running one hour before the performance and on=
e
hour after it ends.  Park in front of Borders Books and Music at Severance
Town Center or, for those who live near Coventry, walk to the entrance of

   Cain Park 2004 season sponsors are The A.M. McGregor Home, Cingular
