the term "break a leg" has nothing to do with body harm. To break a leg
means to enter the stage through one of the side curtains or"legs".. If you make a
good "break" or entrance, you will have a good performance. It can also refer
to actors in Elizabethan times doing a command performance befor the queen.
If she liked the performance and applauded , the actors would bow by bending
their knees or"breaking a leg". The term means to give a performance worthy of
