[NEohioPAL]"Hello, Dolly!" Auditions at Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County

The award-winning musical "Hello Dolly" will be
presented as the second production of Little Theatre's
2004-05 season. The show is sponsored by The
Times-Reporter. 

Auditions for "Hello Dolly" will be held Oct. 31 and
Nov. 1 beginning at 7 in the Little Theatre at 466
Carrie Ave. NW, New Philadelphia. All roles, including
Dolly, are available and there are roles, including
chorus, for men and women of all ages. Dolly is a
mezzo soprano with a vocal range of low G to G-sharp.
Horace is a baritone with a range of low B to C. Other
characters and their ranges follow: Cornelius (a
baritone, low B-flat to high F); Barnaby (baritone, G
to E); Irene Malloy (soprano, low A to E); Minnie Fay
(soprano, low D-sharp to A); and Ambrose (tenor, E to
high G-sharp).

Other roles include Ernestina, a wealthy and obnoxious
woman who wears too much make-up; Rudolph, headwaiter
at the Harmonia Gardens; Mrs. Rose, Dolly's friend
from childhood; and the judge.

Those auditioning should come with a prepared song. An
accompanist will be provided and taped accompaniment
(minus the vocal track) is also acceptable. Those
auditioning will be asked to learn a dance routine
that will be performed during the session. Only
persons interested in roles that require dancing will
be asked to participate in the dance portion. Music
rehearsals will be held in November and December, with
a two-week holiday break scheduled. Rehearsals will
resume Jan. 3. 

"Hello Dolly" will be performed Feb. 18-20, 25-27 and
