Hi List!

A few people have written to me lately to let me know that certain  people 
and/or organizations that have posted to the list have not come through  with 
their goods and / or services. 

I am writing to let you know that you should perform the same  thorough due 
diligence and reference checks on unfamiliar people or  organizations from the 
list as you would with any other person or  organization.   

There is a disclaimer on all "plain text" postings (they don't show  up on 
html postings)  that states:

Disclaimer: The facts and/or opinions  expressed in each message are solely 
those of the person in the "from" or  "reply-to" header.

I can't possibly check out the competence or professionalism of  everyone who 
posts to the list - which is why I put the disclaimer in the  footer.
