sologig.com...this showed up in a site search this morning...curious if
anyone out there has had any experience with this activity...certainly
is a boost for any local female filmmakers...just curious,
 
The 7th Annual BlueCat Screenplay Competition is Now Accepting Entries
of Feature Length Scripts 
 
ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS 
November 1, 2004 - March 1, 2005 
 
ABOUT THE COMPETITION 
BlueCat's sole mission is to find the great undiscovered screenplays and
bring them to the attention of the film industry, while supporting and
encouraging all screenwriters with feedback on their work. 
 
PRIZES 
$5000 honorarium to the Winner. A copy of the winning script and
loglines of the finalists are forwarded to industry professionals and
production companies. An interview of the winner and contact information
of all the finalists will appear on the BlueCat website. In the event a
winner and/or finalist is a woman, the High Falls Film Festival, which
supports women behind the camera, has invited the screenplay to be read
live as an event during the 2005 festival. The writer/s will receive
roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations and a festiva!l pass.
 
WINNERS 
Winner will be announced July, 15 2005. Up to 5 Finalists will be
announced July 1st, 2005. 
 
ENTRY FEES AND DEADLINES 
$25 entry fee MAIL IN (if postmarked by March 1, 2005) 
$35 entry fee ONLINE (if postmarked by March 1, 2005)
