Church of the Saviour (United Methodist) in Cleveland Heights is looking for
a tenor soloist/section leader for its 40-voice Chancel Choir.  (It is one
of 10 vocal and handbell ensembles at the church.) The Chancel Choir
rehearses weekly on Thursdays from 7:30-9:15 and sings weekly at the 11:00
a.m. Sunday worship service as well as special services and approximately 2
concerts per season.  The choir usually takes the summer off.
The Chancel Choir sings a variety of music --- classical as well as
spirituals and music by such contemporary composers as Rutter, Leavitt and
K. Lee Scott.  The section leader needs to have good sight-reading skills
and the ability to blend with a choir.  He should also have good
people-skills and an understanding of music in worship.

The Cleveland Play House and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival will conduct 
its annual Equity Principal Auditions and Non-Union Open Call on Sunday, 
May 15 and Monday, May 16. Non-union actors should audition on May 15 and 
union actors on May 16. The auditions will be by appointment. To make an 
appointment to audition, please call 216 795 7000 x967. Leave a message 
stating your name, whether you are union or non-union, and whether you 
would like a morning or afternoon appointment. Please also leave contact 
information. You will receive a call back with an exact time.

For the audition please prepare three minutes, which you may use in any way 
you wish. The most common use of the time is to prepare two monologues, one 
contemporary and one classical. You may also sing; those wishing piano 
accompaniment please auditions either Sunday or Monday afternoon.

Most small professional theatres in the area, along with various 
professional theatres from around the great lakes region will also be 
invited. This is a general call for the entire season; individuals may be 
called in by the various theatres who attend for specific productions 
during the course of the season.
