North Coast Men’s Chorus Joins 

 With 4-Time GRAMMY® Nominee, 

Michael Feinstein

CLEVELAND –  The North Coast Men’s Chorus joins forces with four-time GRAMMY® Nominee Michael Feinstein for a grand tour of “The Great American Songbook” in a benefit performance for the NCMC at the Allen Theatre on June 25th.  Music Director Richard Cole is eagerly anticipating the event.  “All of my conversations with Michael in preparation for the show have been utterly delightful. In fact, he’s even sung to me over the phone.”    

The planned two-hour concert will feature Mr. Feinstein, acknowledged as the foremost living interpreter of “The Great American Songbook,” in a solo set and then later joined by the 85 voices of the North Coast Men’s Chorus.  The Chorus will also perform a solo set with a broad selection of their trademarked song and dance numbers conceived to take the audience through an entire rainbow of emotions.   

While the exact selections for the program are a closely guarded secret, bets are that the evening will be filled with Gershwin, Porter, Ellington and the likes.  Like the song says, “Who could ask for anything more?”

Proceeds from the benefit performance will go toward the implementation of the Chorus’ Strategic Plan, which was funded by The Cleveland Foundation.

Perhaps the highest profile gay organization in Northeast Ohio, the North Coast Men’s Chorus has grown to over 100 singing members, under the direction of Music Director, Richard Cole.  The all volunteer organization, founded in 1988 is a community based musical organization which affirms the gay experience by presenting entertaining, quality performances for diverse audiences; providing a supportive environment for its members; and promoting a positive presence in the gay community and beyond.
