PRESS RELEASE

For: Rabbit Run Community Arts Association
            P. O. Box 235
            49 Park St.
            Madison, OH 44057 =20

What could five nuns, vichyssoise soup, and the Jersey Board of Health, =
possibly have in common? In real life, probably nothing, but in the =
theater what they share is found in the zany musical, "Nunsense". =
Rabbit Run Theater, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is offering =
"Nunsense" as the first show of its 2005 season.=20
"Nunsense" is the story of five nuns, the Little Sisters of Hoboken, who =
find themselves faced with having to bury 52 of their sisters who fell =
victim to botulism at the hands of the convent cook Sister Julia (Child =
of God). Sister Julia unwittingly served a tainted vichyssoise soup to =
her fellow sisters. A hand full of the nuns, however, escaped the =
poisoned soup as they were out for an evening of bingo.

These remaining sisters buried 48 of the dead nuns, but lack funds to =
inter the last four. They decide to put on a vaudevillian-style benefit =
to raise money to bury the remaining dead sisters, who are in the mean =
time being stored in a large freezer. The plot thickens when the Jersey =
Board of Health decides to inspect the convent. The answer to their =
problems lies with Sister Mary Amnesia who has information that will =
relieve the "Lil' Hobos" of their predicament. Sadly, a crucifix had =
fallen on Sister Amnesia's head causing loss of memory.=20

Winner of four Outer Critics Awards including Best Off-Broadway Musical, =
"Nunsense" with its hilarious vicissitudes will bring back many =
parochial school memories for Catholics and delight non-Catholics as =
well. The charm of the musical lies in the somewhat dual personalities =
of these loveable misfit nuns each of whom has a secret self that =
struggles with the saintly self.
