Hello, all.

My name is Lauren Muney and I am new to NEOhioPAL but not to the  
nationwide performance community. I am considering moving to  
Cleveland, and several local people (hi, Larry Nehring at Cleve.  
Shakes!) have simply raved about this listserv and the warm group it  
serves.

Please excuse what will seem like blatant commercialism as I  
introduce my background:

I have
- been a professional variety entertainer for over 20 years in a  
multiplicity of venues,
- have a degree in illustration and design,
- attended Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Clown College (class  
of 88, in case there are other grads here)
- have been a professional freelance production stage manager for  
festival  and corporate events
- toured with a stage combat stunt company
- staffed and performed at highly professional and well-respected  
Renaissance festivals
- toured with Laugh Across America, which sought talent for the Las  
Vegas Comedy Festival
- toured Europe by backpack street-performing
- performed in colleges and universities nationwide
- ran multiple years of an international Wild West performers' club
- designed and built costumes and props, including a Shakespeare  
theatre, Renaissance Festival, and corporate events
- designed full websites, as well as hand-painted banners, printed  
brochures, business cards, etc

- and, add to that, I also now coach, speak, and write about fitness  
and wellness to individuals and groups -- including actors and fight  
personnel

(... and wow, I even bore myself with that laundry list!! ;)

Suffice to say, I know few people in the Cleveland area and even  
fewer who know about corporate events, where I have made most of my  
living for the last 20 years.

If anything on that list strikes your taste and you are interested in  
saying hi, having a cup of coffee when I'm in town (usually once a  
month for about a week, for now), or want to network, please feel  
free to contact me. I had no other way of meeting people but with  
this letter...  am especially interested if my experience can fit for  
contract, freelance, or full-time employment.
