The Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater is pleased to announce its Fall Mainstage production, Blithe Spirit. Show dates are Fridays and Saturdays, September 9 - 24, at 8:00 PM. A matinee performance slated for Sunday, September 18 at 3:00 PM. All shows will be held at the Broadview Heights Cultural Arts Center, located on the Broadview Center campus at 9543 Broadview Road (1/2 mile South of Route 82). Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for students and senior citizens.

Blithe Spirit, written by Noel Coward, is a comedy with a ghostly plot. The play tells the story of a novelist who invites an eccentric medium to his home to get ideas for a story – but instead, he gets more than he bargained for.
With the help of the medium, the novelist unintentionally summons his first wife from beyond the grave. The lady from beyond – still beautiful and mischievous – relishes in playfully teasing and tormenting her husband and his new wife. The cast of characters include Dan Sekanic as Charles Condomine, an intelligent English novelist; Pam Matthews as Ruth Condomine, his wife; Pat Patipas and Karen Johnston as Dr. and Mrs. Bradman, friends of the Condomines; Fran Norris as Madame Arcati, a spiritualist; Renee Torchia as Elvira, the deceased wife of Charles; and Christi Esterly as Edith, the Condomine’s maid. Directed by Judith Mazur.

Audience members will also have the opportunity to indulge in their own psychic reading. Beginning one hour prior to show time and at intermission on performance dates, a medium from Psychic Readings by Theresa will be available
in the gallery. Theresa, Monica, or Enza will offer palm, Tarot, crystal, aura, or psychic readings for interested guests. Readings are $10 to $25 per session; no appointment is necessary.

For ticket reservations or for other inquiries, interested parties may contact the Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater Box Office by phone at (440) 526-4404 or on the web at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org.
