Dear Friends,
 
This is a very exciting time for Stark County.  Due to the incredible
grassroots efforts of volunteers from across Stark County and with the
support of our honorary chairpersons, Alliance Mayor, Toni E. Middleton;
Canton Mayor, Janet Weir Creighton and Massillon Mayor, Francis H.
Cicchinelli Jr., March 31 to April 9 will be 10 days to remember! 
Stark ACT 1 (Stark Arts Coming Together [Year] 1) is coming to Town!!!
 
It begins with Plant Et Art's awesome 14th Annual "Art is Alive" art
extravaganza at the Cultural Center on Friday evening March 31st and
ends with an amazing afternoon of performances and workshops at KSU,
Stark Campus, Fine Arts Building, from 1:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, April
9.  There are over 100 arts events going on throughout the week.  There
is something for every age and interest, including Dance, Music, Written
Word, Theater, Visual Arts and Beyond Tradition.

If you would like to share our enthusiasm..
 
1.	Please help us get the word out about this phenomenal week.
Send everyone you know an e-mail with a link to the web site. 
2.	Attend as many of the events as you can to show this community
that the ARTS are important to you. 
3.	Volunteer to help us with the Celebration on Sunday April 9.  We
need people to help set up in the morning, put things back together at
6:00 PM, work shifts during the afternoon to help our volunteer
performers and teachers with their set-ups, guide people to the correct
rooms, and a wide variety of other tasks.  If you have any time that day
and can give us a few hours - please let us know as soon as you can.

4.	Put up posters around town and at your place of business.  (If
you would like some dropped off to you, please let us know.) 
5.	Pass out flyers to everyone you see.  (see attached) 
6.	Share the Picture It information with people you know who have
children ages 8 to 12.  That is happening in just a few days - so there
isn't much time for this one!
