Three major reasons to attend an audition even if theatre does not =
disclose casting decisions ahead of time.

A good director will test you to see if directable Maybe reading a part =
for which you're not a fit( 40 year old reading a grandpa role)just so =
others in the cast can read a possible part.(Translation-are you a team =
player?).Read the off role with same respect as the role you really =
want.They will keep your professionalism in mind when casting another =
show.

Second,networking.You will meet others in the lobby or holding.Get to =
know people.

Finally,and as mentioned before,any audition is good practice.Take an =
audition class from the folks who advertise on this list.
