Anne DesRosiers Named Interim Managing Director of
Cleveland Play House

CLEVELAND (September 12, 2006) -- Anne B. DesRosiers, CFRE, former Managing
Director of Great Lakes Theater Festival, has been appointed Interim
Managing Director of The Cleveland Play House, effective September 18, 2006.

"I am flattered to be joining The Cleveland Play House and honored to be
following in Dean Gladden's footsteps," says DesRosiers. "In addition to
providing stewardship until a permanent managing director is in place, I
look forward to drawing on my experiences to make a contribution to the
theatre as we launch the strategic plan that will prepare this institution
for continued success in the next decade."

DesRosiers, a strategic planning, management and development consultant,
brings 30 years of arts and culture experience to The Cleveland Play House.
Currently, she serves as project manager for the arts and culture program at
the Jewish Community Center of Cleveland. In addition to her experience with
Great Lakes Theater Festival, DesRosiers served as both Director of
Development and Director of Theater Relations and Development at The
Repertory Theater of St. Louis. As a development and fundraising consultant,
her clients have included more than 200 regional theatre, dance and opera
companies throughout the United States.

"Anne DesRosiers is passionate about both the arts and Cleveland," says Alan
M. Rauss, Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Cleveland Play House.
"The Board and I are confident in Ms. DesRosiers' ability to lead the Play
House while we conduct a national search for a permanent Managing Director."

As Interim Managing Director, DesRosiers will be responsible for the
administrative, financial, development and facilities aspects of the theatre
and The Cleveland Play House Club, the nation's only private theatre-dining
facility.

Current Managing Director, Dean R. Gladden, is resigning after a 20-year
career at The Cleveland Play House. He will be relocating to Houston to
manage the Alley Theatre.
