The Sandstone Summer Theatre located in Amherst, OH has several Director
positions opened for the 2007 summer performances.  Sandstone performs
three full length plays for three age groups.  All plays are performed in
the Amherst Steele High School cafetorium located on Washington St.

Positions available:

Sandstone - age group is from 15 to 22, rehearsals begin June 6, 2007  from
6:30 PM to 9:30 PM with performances July 19 - 21, 2007.  The play has not
been chosen as of yet, but it is between "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "
South Pacific".

Director - responsible to work with all crew heads, and the Producer to
cast and direct the play.

Technical Director - responsible to work with the Director and the
technical crew in building sets and props.

Music Director - organize, and rehearse with an appropriate size orchestra
for the play.  If you have vocal experience the opportunity exists to also
perform the functions of the Chorale Director.

Chorale Director - warm up the cast on vocals, and work with them
throughout the rehearsal period on the songs.

Choreographer - choreograph the play while working with the Director and
the cast.

Costumer -  create costumes appropriate for the play while working with the
Director.


Apprentices and Sunshine Company - both age groups will perform "No Strings
Attached".

Apprentices - age group 12 to 14, rehearsals begin June 25, 2007 from 12:00
PM to 2:00 PM with performances July 27 + 28, 2007.

Sunshine Company - age group 8 - 11, rehearsals begin June 25, 2007 from
9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with performances July 27 + 28, 2007.

Technical Director - responsible to work with the Director and the
technical crew in building sets and props.  This is a great opportunity for
a technical intern, as the sets are not  elaborate.  The technical crew
will consist of high school students who have participated in tech work
while in Drama Club.

Chorale Director - warm up the cast on vocals, and work with them
throughout the rehearsal period on the songs.  Typically, the CD that
accompanies the script will be used during rehearsals and performances.

The salary for all positions is commensurate with past experience.
