FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CASSIDY THEATRE BECOMES =E2=80=9CHOTTEST SPOT NORTH OF HAVANA=E2=80=9D
WITH OPENING OF BARRY MANILOW=E2=80=99S COPACABANA

Parma Heights - =E2=80=9CHer name was Lola. She was a showgirl=E2=80=A6.=
=E2=80=9D Lola and all the immortal characters from Barry Manilow=E2=80=
=99s classic hit COPACABANA come to life on the Cassidy Theatre stage Janua=
ry19th through February 4th. =20

A larger-than-life musical with an original Barry Manilow score, COPACABANA=
tells the story of a songwriter whose imagination carries him back to the=
1940=E2=80=99s =E2=80=93 an era when music and passion were =E2=80=9Calwa=
ys in fashion=E2=80=9D. He imagines his song as a glittery, Technicolor mo=
vie musical where love, jealousy and murder unfold amidst dazzling costumes=
, sets and choreography.

The Cassidy production directed and choreographed by Monica Olejko with mus=
ical direction by David W. Coxe features a large cast and a sixteen-piece o=
rchestra. Lester Currie designed the period 1940=E2=80=99s and Havana nigh=
tclub costumes with set design by Meghan Mohler. The production stars Rich=
ard Turski as songwriter =E2=80=9CStephen=E2=80=9D and his alter-ego =E2=80=
=9CTony=E2=80=9D with Megan DePetro in the duel roles of Stephen=E2=80=99s =
wife =E2=80=9CSamantha=E2=80=9D and the alluring =E2=80=9CLola=E2=80=9D.  A=
lso appearing in the cast are Jeffrey E. Braun, Mickey Martinez, Kim Mihali=
k, Don Pedley, Keli Schimelpfenig, Marc Robert Snyder with Lester Currie. E=
rin R. diLauro, Desiree Nicole Johnson, Aaron L. Kastanis, Chelsea Liptak, =
Nick Malusky, Gianna Mannarino, Alex Nalbach, Carolyn Vojta and Cheryl Wins=
low.

Originally a song on his 1978 =E2=80=9CEven Now=E2=80=9D album, COPACABANA =
won Manilow his first Grammy Award. Dick Clark then convinced Manilow and c=
ollaborators Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman to turn the song into a made-fo=
r-TV movie special that won an Emmy. COPACABANA was then adapted into a wi=
ldly successful Vegas review before transforming into a full-length musical=
that ran for two sold-out years in London=E2=80=99s West End before embark=
ing on a sold-out US tour.

=E2=80=9CThere was blood and a single gunshot, but just who shot who?=E2=80=
=9D Find out when COPACABANA opens January 19th and runs through February=
4th . Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 3:=
00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizen=
s. Early reservations are strongly suggested and tickets are going fast. T=
ickets can be ordered by phoning the Box Office at (440) 842-4600 from 9:00=
a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. MasterCard and Visa are accepte=

rma Heights.
