An Ohio high school premier takes the Firestone High School stage with the
upcoming production of URINETOWN -- THE MUSICAL.

The hysterical URINETOWN -- THE MUSICAL will be presented in the Firestone
High School Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 1; Friday, March 2; and
Saturday March 3, 2007. Tickets are $7.00 pre-sale and $9.00 at the door.
Pre-sale tickets will be available in the school commons from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00
p.m. starting no later than Thursday, February 22, 2007. A pre-sale order form
is available to download at www.FirestoneTheatre.com.

This side-splitting satire features a clever and truly funny book by Greg
Kotis, a tuneful score by Mark Hollman, and witty lyrics by both. URINETOWN --
THE MUSICAL is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love, and revolution in a
time when water is worth its weight in gold. URINETOWN -- THE MUSICAL is an
irreverently humorous satire in which no one is safe from scrutiny.

The Firestone Theatre production of URINETOWN -- THE MUSICAL is directed by
Mark A. Zimmerman and features choreography by Michael Medcalf, artistic
director at Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre. The pit band is conducted by Dr.
David Spondike. FHS choir director Sally A. Schneider serves as the vocal music
director. The costume design is by Donna Curfman.

Firestone Theatre is the play-producing component of the high school visual
and performing arts program for the Akron Public Schools. The magnet arts
theatre program, which is housed at Firestone High School, is open via audition and
open enrollment to any incoming ninth grade student. The International
Network of Visual and Performing Arts Schools designated Firestone High School in
2001 as a "Star School."
