Growing dance school and non-profit Ohio Youth Ballet seek dance
professionals to fill vacant positions for 2007-2008 School Year/Season.

Dance instructors must have a passion for dance, teaching and choreography
and must want to be a part of a team active in assisting the growth of The
Turning Pointe School of Dance. Instructors need to be focused on meeting
the needs of the dancer, and help to instill the "joy of dance" by
challenging each dancer to achieve his/her personal best. 

Dance degree, teaching and performance experience required.

Instructors will be required to choreograph some dances for outreach and for
the end-of-year performance. 

Dance instructors must be good communicators and be willing to work with the
Director/Owner, staff, students and their families, as well as be open to
guest instructors. Individuals are to be active in helping with the growth
and promotion of the studio.

Pay/Compensation:  will be covered at interview

Part-time positions are available for the following:

         Substitute instructors

Master class instructors

Dance Team Director/Assistant

Artistic Director of Ohio Youth Ballet

-         Classical Ballet

Intermediate to Advanced Classical Ballet Instructor (Vaganova training is a
plus but not mandatory. *(Individuals filling this position may also apply
for OHIO YOUTH BALLET Artistic Director position. Final selection for the
OYB Artistic Director will be selected by Ohio Youth Ballet Board of
Directors.)

-         Master Teachers in all Dance Styles: Those interested in teaching
master classes are asked to send resume, master class offerings, and
fees/schedule.

-         *Ohio Youth Ballet Artistic Director: Must be willing to serve as
artistic director of grassroots pre-professional dance company associated
with The Turning Pointe School of Dance. The part-time duties of the
artistic director include: instructing, coaching, mentoring and developing
each company member, regardless of membership status, years of training,
etc.; encouraging each member to strive to dance at his or her highest
potential and ability; instilling a love of dance in each member; providing
each member with constructive feedback (in a positive and nurturing manner)
regarding his or her developmental progress; providing artistic challenges
for each member so that she or he receives a sense of accomplishment upon
success and an understanding that failure is simply another opportunity to
learn. The artistic director must conduct all company rehearsals, including
regular weekly rehearsal, be willing to work with visiting choreographers
and guest artists, and contribute to strategic marketing and development
activities of the company.
