WEATHERVANE PLAYHOUSE
Presents
Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
The Triumphant Return of Akron's Holiday Event of the Season

WEATHERVANE PLAYHOUSE presents Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The triumphant return of Akron's Holiday Event of the Season includes a brand new set incorporating a full stage turntable, Emmy award-winning news anchor Eric Mansfield of WKYC-TV3 and the newly re-designed Technicolor Dreamcoat! Weathervane Playhouse is pleased to announce fifteen performances of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Broadway blockbuster. Joseph has instant appeal for every audience, shimmering with elaborately staged production numbers and a score full of hits! Back for it's EIGHTH season by popular demand, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a Young Actor Series production on stage at Weathervane from Friday, November 23 ~ Sunday, December 15, 2007.

Joseph is a rainbow ride through Biblical Egypt on the wings of Andrew Lloyd Webber's uplifting music and the humor of lyricist Tim Rice. The musical tells the story of Joseph, a young man with a knack for having prophetic dreams. He incurs the jealousy of his brothers when his father gives him a magnificent colorful coat. The adventure that ensues tells an epic tale of biblical proportion!

Sarah Bailey (Director and Choreographer ) is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and has her Masters in Music and Pedagogy from the prestigious Westminster Choir College. Sarah has sung onstage at Carnegie Hall with the New York Philharmonic and was a grand finalist at the Guangdong International Vocal Competition in China.

Jordan Cooper (Musical Director) is returning to Weathervane after serving as the Musical Director for the Florida Repertory Theater in Fort Myers. He last appeared at Weathervane as the Musical Director of The Last Five Years and onstage as Friar Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet.

The role of Joseph will be played by Kyle D. Downing of Stow. Kyle is a freshman at Baldwin-Wallace College and was last seen on Weathervane's stage this summer, performing as Cyrano in the summer stock production of Cyrano DeBergerac.

The narrator will be played by Amanda K. Davis of Akron. Amanda returns to Weathervane after recently performing as Alais in this season's production of The Lion in Winter.

Emmy award-winning news anchor Eric Mansfield of WKYC-TV3 will be taking a few nights off from the News on Channel 23 to make his stage debut at Weathervane! He will be singing and dancing his way across the stage as Joseph's father, Jacob.

The production promises to be an entertaining and fun family production. Special weekday morning performances are available, along with regular public performances. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $10 for children 8 years old and younger. A group rate of $10 is available for a party of 15 or more. Charge by phone at 330-836-2626 with Visa, MasterCard or Discover, Tuesday - Friday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
